Evolution and Advantages of Online Education: A Shift Towards Virtual Learning

In the recent student protests at Columbia University in New York City, the university administration decided to use on-line classes as a way to mitigate the potential danger to students. Globally, on-line classes were widely adopted during the Coronavirus pandemic to keep students from spreading the virus through proximate contact with each other. These examples may suggest that on-line education is a means to be adopted under extreme circumstances. This article presents an alternate view; that on-line education is an ideal solution for a variety of reasons and whose time has come. Distance education, a precursor to on-line education, is not new. Some of the earliest versions of distance education were correspondence courses as far back as the 1950s and 60s. Written course materials were sent by mail to students. The students completed the assignments at home and sent in their answer sheets to be evaluated. Window of mind

I've always had a fascination for poetry. Not that, I personally used to read many or follow. Though the notion by which its meaning is expressed really entangles me to the thoughts of the poet. This is my first try at poetry. I have been blogging for quite a while now to share my thoughts. I express everything I feel and that's how I feel I can connect to people. The idea of writing poem came into my mind after a session of meditation when I came out and looked at the window I saw something different, something I don't usually see when I'm around. I looked at the window sill and saw the creeper trees had grown longer than last I had checked on them. Going above my window and leaving it's trace at the window sill. I see a few crusty leaves lying down there with a sense of tranquility that brought my mind to standstill and allowing me to reminisce.

So here we go.

The creeping flowers outside my window kept me awake.
The window sill with crusty leaves enraptured me with its thoughts.
How these alluring flowers would soon turn into dead green cover.
Losing it's value as it grows older and older.
Its preciousness is tendered most when it's young.
as it blossoms out to be yet another one.

The creeping stems outside my window kept me awake.
Showing its prowess and vigil around the flowers.
Protecting its glory with its powers.
Stings with spooky faces slashing, staring right with a gaze.
Touch the sweet flower and they'd set you ablaze!

The nature's great powers kept me awake.
Throwing life into the cosmos with its mystical might.
Keeping the people find the truth of life.
Awakening a soul through the window of its mind.
